Butterfly dream dulcimer

"Butterfly Dulcimer" is a new generation of dulcimer products designed and developed by Professor Li Lingling of the China Conservatory of Music as the head of the "Dulcimer Optimization and R&D" project. It has been listed as a research project of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. The structure of the "Butterfly Dulci" is based on the traditional 402 dulcimer and has undergone bold reforms.



1. Firstly, the left and right sides of the rolling plate and the sound-changing groove and other components are removed, and most of the sound zones increase the effective chord length, and the volume is obviously increased, especially the sound of the low-range sound is more thick;

2. The overall code position has been widened, and the chord point has been enlarged, which reduces the difficulty of striking the string and provides more possibilities for the change of the timbre;

3. Added homophonic eccentric sound code in each sound zone, so that the twelve accompanying sounds are complete, and the transfer and performance are more convenient;

4. The effective chord length is more standardized, the code points are evenly distributed, the panel is more evenly stressed, and the left and right tuning methods are used to make the pitch and body structure more stable;

5, group Yamaguchi and other chord length design, make the sound more pure, more uniform vibration;

6. The winding type chord method enhances the stability of the pitch.



The above improvements can be achieved mainly by adopting several new designs that have obtained national patents. Including "roller unilateral displacement type dulcimer", "multi-sound fixed Yamagut type dulcimer", "equal string group Yamaguchi type dulcimer", "pedal damper dulcimer", "wound type chord method dulcimer" and so on. It also includes some special designs, such as its overall design, dedicated zither, butterfly dream bamboo and violin case made of fiberglass.



At present, the "Butterfly Dulcimer" exclusively produced by Beijing Xinghai Xinghai Piano Group Co., Ltd. Yuehua Branch has two models:



1. Professional butterfly dream dulcimer: Compared with the 402 dulcimer made of the same material, its weight is reduced by one-sixth, and the length of the body is reduced by 8 cm, which is easy to carry;

2, the concert butterfly dream dulcimer: it is basically the same size as the 402 dulcimer, more suitable for playing in concerts.
